POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN COMPUTER VISION
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of James Elder at the York University Centre for Vision Research in Toronto, Canada. The candidate should have a research background in computational vision or image processing.
The position will involve collaborative research on both applied and theoretical projects. Topics of current interest are:
- Contour processing
- Perceptual organization / Segmentation
- Shape representation
- Natural scene statistics
- Attentive vision systems
- Camera calibration / rectification
- Single-view 3D reconstruction
- Face detection
- Person re-identification
- Crowd analytics
- Traffic analytics

The York Centre for Vision Research is an interdisciplinary centre spanning the laboratories of 30 faculty members in the Departments of Psychology, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Biology and Kinesiology. Members pursue fundamental and applied research in human and computer vision, vestibular and auditory perception, eye-movements, virtual reality and robotics.
